A member-run flying club on an 800m farm strip in the Marlborough Downs — no PPR, no crowds, just flying.

Marlborough Flying Club operates from Draycot Aerodrome, a well-drained 800m farm strip two miles from J15 of the M4. Run by members for members, it offers self-fly hire, hour building and dry lease across a diverse fleet — Piper PA-28, Grob 115A, Robin Alpha Sport 2160 and Cessna 172 — typically £100/hr below flying-school prices. Advanced training includes aerobatic introductions in the Grob, formation flying and tailwheel conversions, with PPL/LAPL routes through carefully selected partners. No PPR, a self-announcing frequency and an honour-based landing fee: aviation the way it used to be. On-site CAA Part-CAO maintenance by NAMAIR keeps the fleet tip-top.
