Gower Peninsula's GA airfield — a wartime fighter station turned community-run flying hub, home to two flying schools and Spitfire experience flights.

Swansea Airport (EGFH) sits on Fairwood Common in the Gower, six miles west of the city. Built as RAF Fairwood Common in 1941 — a Fighter Command sector station defending South Wales — it has been in civilian hands since 1957. Today it is run by the Swansea Airport Stakeholders' Alliance, a volunteer-led consortium that regained the CAA operating licence in 2025. Two resident flying schools (Cambrian Flying Club fixed-wing; Gower Flight Centre microlight), weekend skydiving, Spitfire passenger flights in season, self-service Avgas, hangarage and a café. PPR essential.
